Light & Fresh Nourish Bowl

The importance of nutrition alongside your exercise regiment is so underrated. I’ve been doing a lot of classes at Project Sculpt here in Hoboken and know that it requires a lot of my body. In return, I need to be sure that I’m fueling my body with enough nutrients to sustain and support my training.


One way to ensure proper nutrition prior to an intense workout would be to make a nourish bowl! I like to eat a nice hearty nourish bowl at lunchtime to prepare for a nighttime workout.


The nourish bowl featured in this recipe was inspired by one I was on @fransfoodfeed instagram page, which you should definitely check out. I love this particular recipe because it’s absolutely loaded with micronutrients and the perfect hunger crushing combination of protein, carbs, and fat to keep me satiated and provide a nice boost of energy!


I used Lundberg Farms’ wild rice mix, shrimp, avocado, steamed broccoli, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and topped it with a drizzle of lemon juice and olive oil. All of these ingredients can be prepped beforehand so you can just assemble a nourish bowl whenever you want. If you try this recipe, make sure you tag me - I’d love to see it!
